Aztoragarri - Final release Devlog 3
Bon dia, everyone!
Once again, we are back for another monthly update on the development of Aztoragarri. This month, development may have slowed down a tiny bit due to personal reasons though, so do not expect too much.
Gameplay advancements:
With the physical map of Jaca finished, the conclusion of chapter 2 began development. As with every chapter in Aztoragarri, there is always a boss awaiting on the final sections. Although I can not reveal the name of said boss due to story reasons, here is how he will work;
This boss could be interpreted as a "stealth" one. He roams the arena looking for the player, and once it makes contact with them, aims his rifle and shoots, causing a decent amount of damage to the player. And you can not just try to get close so he can't shoot either, as he will melee attack the player when too close. This boss has been designed to be defeated by making him lose sight of the player, approaching him when he is not looking, and trying to get a few hits on him before he gets a chance to attack back. That being said, his attacks get exponentially faster and more aggressive the more he is attacked, meaning one has to keep an eye out for that as well.
Unlike Amon, the previous boss, this one does not require a specific technique to put down, the player only requires damaging him enough.
Additionally, a new puzzle type has been added; the Basque mechanism. A structure consisting of three fixed wheels with three markings each that must be put on a specific order depending on what the player needs. It is quite hard to explain by text, my apologies for that.
Story advancements:
As slightly foreshadowed earlier, the final section of the second chapter has been fully completed and the introduction to the same chapter has begun development.
Once again, I apologize for the shorter devlog this month.
I shall leave you with a few screenshots from this month's work;
That should be it for today. Thank you and I hope life smiles on you.
Bona nit!
